Description of Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our Golf Course Maintenance Team. The Assistant Superintendent will play a key role in maintaining the condition of our course and ensuring it meets the standards set by CCT. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a course featured in the Country Club Tour Golf Group.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in the daily management of golf course operations.
  • Supervise and train the maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and efficient work practices.
  • Oversee the maintenance of turf-grass, irrigation systems, and landscaping to maintain championship-level conditions.
  • Monitor course conditions, identify issues, and implement solutions to achieve optimal play-ability.
  • Assist in budget preparation and management, including tracking expenses and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with General Manager and other departments to prepare the course for daily play.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and sustainability practices.

Desired Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Turf grass Management, Agronomy, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in golf course maintenance, with leadership responsibilities preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of turf-grass diseases, pests, and nutrient management practices.
  • Experience with irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to operate and train staff on various maintenance equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Certification or licensing in pesticide application or ability to obtain is required.
