If you aspire to build a career in turf management this is the position for you.    Blackhawk’s  leadership team is in the early stages of building a comprehensive Turf Department team that provides individuals with the opportunity to succeed in the Turf Industry.  Our motto is to Work Hard and Enjoy doing it. We are seeking to fill two, turf intern positions for the 2025 season.  These positions will report to the Superintendent and/or  Assistants depending on the task at hand.  The individuals must be willing to learn with the ultimate goal to achieve a position of Superintendent in the future.

• Perform various fertilizer and pesticide applications.
• Repair irrigation issues.
• Execute various cultural practices such as aeration, topdressing, brushing and mowing.
• Help lead small teams on projects.
• Willing to step up and assist on morning setup duties.
• Complete field school requirements outlined by your educational institution.
• Practice proper safety standard policies at all times.
• Enjoy a round of golf

• Currently enrolled or completed a Turfgrass Management Program, or related field of study
• Golf Course Turf Department experience
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a Team environment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Great attention to detail
• Golf knowledge and keen interest in the Game
• Ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License

Full-Time Seasonal position:  Wage range  $ 20.00 – $ 22.50 /hr
