Summary
Coloniale Golf Club is an 18-hole Championship links style golf course located just minutes south of Edmonton in the City of Beaumont. Opened in 1993, our mission has always been to achieve the highest standard of course conditioning and customer service.
The course features 18 well-crafted holes playing up to 7012 yards. It has been designed to be playable for individuals of all skill levels. An array of bunkers and large lakes are carefully set out to offer an enjoyable experience for all.
Description of Role
Coloniale Golf Club is looking to fill the role of Turf Intern/Foreman for the 2025 season. The ideal candidate would be either a current/ aspiring student or recent graduate of recognized turf management program. Previous golf course experience as well as a passion for the game of golf is essential. At Coloniale Golf Club we foster growth and development through diverse mentorship and hands on experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
– Assist the Coloniale Turfcare team in the execution of all golf course maintenance tasks.
– Lead crews on projects and task work across the golf course property.
– Operation of maintenance equipment following all safety protocols and procedures.
– Assist in the execution of Coloniale’s agronomic/pest management programs.
– Irrigation system operation and maintenance
– Monitoring of course conditions daily
– Training of seasonal maintenance crew members on safe operation of turf equipment following all protocols and procedures
– Opportunity to direct maintenance crew operations on weekends
Desired Experience
– 2-3 years of golf course maintenance experience
– Currently enrolled/ recent graduate of turf management program
– Self-starter, able to work independently or within a team
– Passion for the game of golf
Compensation and Perks
– Full Time Seasonal position ( start/ end dates to be negotiated)
– Wage range $19-23/ hour, depending on experience
