Challenge Cup

No other event brings the Golf Industry together like the AGSA Challenge Cup.  Club Presidents, Club Managers, Golf Professionals, and Course Superintendents from across the province team up to compete at some of the finest golf facilities available in Alberta and BC.  

Designed as an event to promote communications & understanding between the leaders of the Golf Industry, this two day event provides fellowship, brainstorming, interclub communication, competition, & team building.

The Challenge Cup has become “the donʼt miss event” in the Golf Course Industry.  In the past, this event has attracted up to 256 players representing 62 Alberta golf clubs and 4 Industry Sponsor teams.  

The two day tournament is a net stableford event that is played over two courses on alternating days.  There is both team competition as well as individual prizes.  

The unique betting sheets have proven to be very valuable in creating networking opportunities with other golf clubs in the Alberta golf market. The last five years the event has been hosted by the Copper Point Resort (Point and Ridge courses) in the beautiful Invermere Valley.
