The Derrick Golf and Winter Club is seeking a motivated Assistant Mechanic to join our Turf Care team for the golf season. This role supports the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of golf course and facility equipment, helping ensure safe, reliable operations throughout the season. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the golf industry and looking to grow their mechanical skills, with opportunity for advancement within the department.

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of turf maintenance equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, and small engines
• Perform routine servicing such as oil changes, blade sharpening, reel grinding, belt replacement, and equipment adjustments
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance facility
• Inspect equipment for mechanical issues and report concerns to the Equipment Manager
• Support seasonal equipment setup and breakdown
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines
• Assist with other turf care or maintenance duties as required

• Mechanical aptitude or previous experience working with small engines, vehicles, or equipment (preferred but not required)
• Interest in golf, turf management, or the golf course industry
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work outdoors and in a shop environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
