Blackhawk is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and team-oriented person to fill the role of Equipment Technician. As a member of the Turf Department team, under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, the Equipment Technician will work in concert with the Turf Management team. The Turf Department team prides itself on providing excellent playing conditions for the membership, providing mentorship to young turf professionals, and creating a safe, and enjoyable working environment.  This is a great opportunity to join a growing Turf team and continue to produce an exceptional product.

• Responsible for the repair and maintenance of the Turf equipment fleet and Golf course cart Fleet.
• Perform daily reel maintenance to ensure the highest quality of cut during the season
• Maintain a clean & safe workspace
• Be a part of the Equipment budgeting & future purchasing planning
• Assist the Turf Department team in the shoulder seasons

• A Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a golf course setting or related mechanical field
• Experience with small engines, electrical systems and hydraulic systems
• Reel Grinding experience, and knowledge of Turf related equipment is an asset
• Welding and Fabrication experience
• Ability to implement safety programs and checks
• Valid Driver’s License
• Excellent record keeping skills, including Computer knowledge and ability(excel)
